Grades 3-5 learned about famous street artists and the art of graffiti. Each student had to choose a word that sent a message to the viewer or was a representation of themselves in some way. The students used colored pencils to create their graffiti messages and learned to create gradients by varying the pressure of their pencils. They learned about both radial and linear gradients within their space.
