Circle Weaving

This lesson was taught to my second graders in the spring. It was their first introduction into textiles and working in a brand new medium. Students painted their plates before we made them into a circle loom for weaving. Prior to this, the class watched a video about weaving and all of the different types of looms available. Once the looms were created, the students were allowed to choose the yarns they wanted to use to create their weaving projects.
